Keep records, communicate with each other and seek counsel. In the mid-late 1980s, the IL State Police openly discriminated against white male applicants by requiring a 15 point higher written exam result from them than any other gender/race to proceed in the hiring process. The state lost a suit filed by the victims and was ordered to offer the harmed applicants a job. More recently, the CT firefighters that were discriminated against on promotions won their suit as well, so racism is losing out.
That being said, I hope this is just rumor and that our agency is not introducing race into hiring criteria.

Am curious. I hear that ATF now has a moratorium on hiring white(caucasian) male applicants. Word is that ATF is even refusing to accept applications from very qualified white males, many of whom are decorated combat vets, who want to participate in the hiring process. There is allegedly some hush hush secret email issued by HQ threatening to fire or prosecute people who talk about this.
Is there any truth to this and if so is this a permanent practice now at ATF?
Maybe some ATF EEO rep can come on and explain this new practice to the forum. Many people want to know
Strikeforce, no EEO (and that's not Explosives Enforcement Officer) exists in ATF or elsewhere to provide equality for, or otherwise assist, male caucasians. The position needs to be renamed to UEO (Unequal Employment Officer) as to more accurately describe its true intended purpose.

If it exists, post it to this forum in a pdf format. I am sure someone will publish it.When will some brave person copy this reported memo or directive, if it exists in writing, to the media ??? That is the only way to bring about change. When??
