Do SES bosses have to repay relocation expenses if they are PCSd and don't serve out the year?
I believe that SES are entitled to a paid move "back home;" what back home means is open to interpretation. It arises out of military, intelligence, and foreign service members who did their 20 years overseas and upon retirement, literally moved back home to the family farm in Kansas or wherever. Today, "final move home" means wherever the SES wants to retire too. So doing less than a year at the new duty station is probably acceptable under SES laws. At the very least, a PCS move followed by a paid move home shows stupidity on the agency. But stupidity is not in short supply at ATF.
