End of the Innocence
Remember when the days were long
And rolled beneath a deep blue sky
Didn't have a care in the world
With mommy and daddy standin' by
But "happily ever after" fails
And we've been poisoned by these fairy tales
The lawyers dwell on small details
Since daddy had to fly
But I know a place where we can go
That's still untouched by men
We'll sit and watch the clouds roll by
And the tall grass wave in the wind
You can lay your head back on the ground
And let your hair fall all around me
Offer up your best defense
But this is the end
This is the end of the innocence
O' beautiful, for spacious skies
But now those skies are threatening
They're beating plowshares into swords
For this tired old man that we elected king
Armchair warriors often fail
And we've been poisoned by these fairy tales
The lawyers clean up all details
Since daddy had to lie
But I know a place where we can go
And wash away this sin
We'll sit and watch the clouds toll by
And the tall grass wave in the wind
Just lay your head back on the ground
And let your hair spill all around me
Offer up your best defense
But this is the end
This is the end of the innocence
Who knows how long this will last
Now we've come so far, so fast
But, somewhere back there in the dust
That same small town in each of us
I need to remember this
So baby give me just one kiss
And let me take a long last look
Before we say goodbye
Just lay your head back on the ground
And let your hair fall all around me
Offer up your best defense
But this is the end
This is the end of the innocence

The funniest thing about all this is that Holder could have KEPT all this from being an election season issue by NOT being a complete dick by not just giving Issa the documents he's got.
Obama said it best, in my opinion...
This still being an issue after more than a year and during an election season....thats ALL Eric Holders fault....well, and Obamas too since he decided to play the same game Holders been playing.
I'd like to see the pair of them sitting in a Mexican prison cell for the acts of war they committed against the sovereign nation of Mexico.

An Open Letter to Eric H. Holder, Jr.
"Give ‘Fast and Furious’ Documents to Public"
"U.S. Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. says of the vote to hold him in contempt of Congress, “you have to be exceedingly naive to think that vote was about … documents.”
Prove it, sir. Put your documents where your mouth is. Because if the Justice Department and the White House truly believe a Democratic government should be accountable to those it governs, then releasing all documents in the botched “Fast and Furious” gun-running operation is necessary.
While there is little doubt there is plenty of embarrassment to go around in the decision by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to allow 2,000 guns to walk away, believing real life is like a Hollywood movie and law enforcement would be able to track each of them to powerful Mexican drug cartels, there is no doubt the operation went horribly wrong.
Two of the guns were found near the body of murdered Border Patrol agent Brian Terry.
Yet Holder says it’s all about him, and he has “become a symbol of what they don’t like about the positions this Justice Department has taken; I am also a proxy for the president in an election year.”
If that refers to a position of hiding public information from the public, or keeping under wraps documents that have absolutely nothing to do with national security secrets, or taking a hit for the president’s decision to invoke executive privilege rather than be honest with the American people, then he’s right.
The New Mexico Democrats who voted against the contempt charges, Reps. Martin Heinrich and Ben Ray Lujan, have called it political theater. But this is a show that should have closed before opening.
New Mexico Republican Rep. Steve Pearce skips the hyperbole and gets right to the point with “I would rather have the truth and the documents than have had this vote. It should not have come to this.”
No, a bureaucrat/politician did not pull the literal trigger that killed Terry. But a bureaucrat/politician did push a dangerous operation on the American taxpayers that ultimately ended in the death of an American citizen who was sworn to uphold the laws of the land.
Hiding behind executive privilege and political grandstanding is a shabby way to honor that sacrifice."
Couldn't have said it better myself.....
