It is time for all of us to step up and take ownership of our Bureau. That includes changing everything we do across the board and the way we do it. Each of us can either be part of the problem or the solution.

Mr. Melson has received our invitation to foster a truly open communications environment between HQ and the field, and "I didn't know" is no longer a legitimate or acceptable answer to those of us in the field. He does know and his response (or lack thereof) will determine the future of this agency. If he continues to ignore our pleas and conducts business as usual, then we have his answer. This is not rocket science and there is no “gray area”.

Most of our 20-year agents have a better understanding of our great institution than a 1-year “veteran” who is counseled by a bunch of self-promoting bureaucrats who haven’t bought a gun in over a decade. We have repeatedly stated our preference to resolve our business internally, but he (Mr. Melson) is holding all the marbles. We will now see if he is true to his word and sincerely wants us to "Speak Up", as he has publicly claimed.

Please take the time to register for your free account in this CUATF Forums site and share in the honor and responsibility of rebuilding of this Bureau.

Happy New Year, and please remember our troops in your prayers.
