I agree 1desertrat; Take a look at what Charlie Smith did while the ASAC of Dallas. He used to routinely go to Oklahoma and spend days in the Casinos; gambling and drinking. He gets promoted to DC and is now awaiting how much time he'll get on the beach. If Charlie Smith was a line Agent, he would be fired.

Worse, Smith has admitted he has NO INTEGRITY, he will get 30 to 45 days off and Smith will be returned to a Leadership/Management Position where he will make Disciplinary Decisions that can ruin other Agents' Careers. Where is the Credibility in that?

The DOJ, who has the final say and should fire (force to retire) Smith. Everyone is watching and expects the usual different set of discipline that applies to all 15's and above.

Deputy Director Tom Brandon, this one is your call (recommendation to DOJ) and we are all watching whether you have any Integrity!

People forget that the political leadership once elected have their own agenda which has nothing to do with representing anyone or anything but their personal $$$.  Generally that agenda does not give a shit about ordinary people or insignificant problems in ATF.  The exception to this rule is only if the scandal of the day is something they can spin to make the other party look bad.  I have to laugh....(sorry guys) at all who all came forward on F&F thinking Grassley and all the other politicians would protect them and come to the rescue.  Once they were used to help take shots at the President all were kicked aside.  End result.....no one fired, no one in jail, no retirements impacted and the corrupt life in ATF continues to go on as normal.

Perfect example is Clinton telling everyone I have no "classified" information and gives up only the documents she thinks the peasants should have. Same attitude trickles down and is seen in ATF.  Rules do not apply to leadership and there is absolutely no penalty for disregarding the law, regulation or rules.

Why won't Democrats request swift action toward ATF & DOJ managers harassing employees who file complaints?

Why won't Democrats request swift action toward ATF & DOJ Attorneys commiting fraud in a court of law?

I will ask the same of the republicans who control both legislative chambers and 100% of the spending bills; who continue debt spending to overfund scandalized agencies.  If the republicans wanted to reign in the out of control bureaucracy, they could do so.  They choose not to.

Let's be clear.  The only reason ATF is still around is because the NRA doesn't want the gun laws going to the FBI.  I truly believe after going so many years without a director (one year with B.Todd) the ATF management has lost all perspective.  They exist only to serve themselves.  The only way to fix ATF is to either bring in a bad ass who is wiling to fire these do nothings or move ATF under the FBI.  No one believes how our bosses move up and down so no one really has any authority and if you speak out against this practice, like Marianos did, you are quickly shunned.  Can you imagine the Military allowing someone to be a 3 star general one day, then a Colonel the next, but keeping his pay?  Billy Hoover goes from Deputy Director to a SAC.  Larry Ford goes from AD to a SAC.  Robin Shoemaker goes from DAD to a SAC.  BJ Zapor goes from DAD to a SAC.  Tom Atteberry goes from DAD to a SAC.  I could keep going.  All these things are done so these SESs can retire in the city of their choosing.  This cost the taxpayers a fortune.  No normal company would allow this, but everyone plans on it when they get near retirement.  You will get a free PCS move to the city of your choosing.  OUTRAGEOUS.

From what I know,
An ATF Manager testified under oath that the employee was fired because she filed a complaint of sexual harassment. She has the recorded testimony on a CD.

This does not surprise me.  I hope 60 Mins, Dateline, or 20/20 is reading this and does stories on this.

This was expressed today, by a fired Former ATF employee,

"What we need is for ATF to be severely Sanctioned and be charged with Punitive Damages. People know they are breaking the law! So what needs to happen is for them to receive severe punishment for it. I am exhausted talking about what they have done that is illegal....Where is their Punishment?"

And on with more news:
The Glory Hole story is back!

I would like to know what an ATF employee reportedly did to get fired as the recently released IA report of substantiated allegations and penalties disclosed some seriously bad conduct and minimal punishments.  Some employees would be immediately terminated at IBM or other major corporations if they committed the same offenses reportedly committed by some ATF employees.
