The "contract" EEO investigator who customizes their "investigative" report to ATF benefits?  If so, there should be no reason.  Their "job" was done long before you get to depositions.

When I was deposed, I told the court reporter that I didn't want a copy [and have to pay $$$$$ for it] but I wanted to review it before it was finalized.  Of course, ATF counsel made sure the deposition was finalized before I could review it.  Counsel claimed that I said I didn't want to review it.

ATF counsel probably slept through the Ethics portion of law school.

What reason would an Investigator have to
re-type Court Transcripts?

Review all of your Court Transcripts and depositions because the Court reporters are on ATFs payroll.
