Again, this is a joke to me when you look at the stuff that is ignored.  Dick Chase went from the AD of OPRSO, down to position to the SAC of Denver, two steps down, but no lowering of pay.  Why?  Because he wanted to retire in Montana.  He didn't show up for work for two years traveling the nation to get certifications for his next job and working on a private board. Let me be clear.  He didn't have an apartment or house in Denver.  His residence was in the northern Montana.  This guy ran internal affairs and then basically got paid to travel the nation to work on a private board concerning retailer security.  The G paid his travel.  He did nothing for ATF.  You would be shocked to know how many of these SESs do this stunt.  The SESs stuck in HQ have no clue how little many of these SACs really do.  

 

OR their SAC conferences in nice locations rather than HQ where half the SESs live.  Wasted money so they can go somewhere nice at the nice time of year.  Trust me, every LE conference I've ever attended is in the off season for that location.  Phoenix in July.  

 

I'm not saying Charlie didn't screw up, but when you look at what Sweeto did, stealing personnel files to set up his next business or Kelvin having sex in the office or JT leaking information of sensitive technology for undercover or the SAC in Boston not showing up for work for 6 months after Sandy Hook -   this is just a joke.

Well Old Agent, as we all know. They can do what they want and always do. I'm curious if the IG is also looking at Smith's running buddy. That SAC in Atlanta.. Time will tell.

I find it crazy that they will go after someone for gambling on duty, when so many of the SESs don't even show up for work.  Again, the Denver SAC didn't show up for work for two years.  It has become such a joke.  Many of these guys lie on the paperwork to get their promotion.  The new SAC in Denver was only on the street for five years.  This is what is causing so many problems.  I would love to see Vince set up a forum to document all the crazy crap our upper management have done through the years.  Having sex in the office in Seattle with your secretary.  Being removed for inaction from San Francisco, then promoted to DAD.  It just goes on and on.

I hear SAC Charlie Smith got relieved of duty yesterday. As the Dallas ASAC, I guess he spent too much time in the Oklahoma Casinos. Oh Well, I guess that "Behavior Will Not Be Tolerated". What a Joke.

I tried to report this to Grassley, but they are looking for the big conspiracy.  The previous SAC in Seattle was recommended to be fired three separate times.  Every time he just got a reprimand and went back to work.  The previous SAC in Columbus gets removed for destroying the entire field division, then covering up for sexual harassment of several women by the ASAC.  She gets removed and her punishment is to be promoted to an DAD position.  She fails at this position, then gets the SAC job in Detroit.  OR the AD of PGA gets a transfer near the end of his career to the SAC of Chicago.  This move cost the government three more moves to allows this stunt.  OR the AD of OPRSO gets a transfer to the SAC of Denver, but moves to Montana instead and doesn't show up for work for two years.  The entire time, he travels the nation setting himself up for his retirement job - all on the government dime.  OR ...honestly, you could go on for hours.  Again, no one wants to hear it.  Again, these guys stop taking leave as soon as they get their SESs so they can retire with 900 hours of annual leave.  How do you go three years and not take leave???  We had an SES who went on a cruise to Turkey with his GS-14 wife and neither took leave.  Three weeks gone.  I still think the biggest example is these guys getting an SCI clearance after being found guilty of lying to internal affairs.  The ASAC in Seattle gets removed for lying to internal affairs and sent to HQ to end his career.  Two years later he is the SAC of Denver, then the SAC of Newark.  How did he get his SCI clearance?  He eventually is forced to retire.

The new SAC of Denver burns a case to the ground in New York City which should have gotten him fired, but instead, he gets promoted.  The SAC a few years ago in Denver doesn't show up for work for two years and when someone reports him, that guy gets in trouble.  Funny, before that, he was the AD of OPRSO.  It reminds me of the SAC of Atlanta.  DOJ OIG recommends prosecution for misuse and she get transferred to special assistant to the director.  Funny thing, she had previously been reprimanded for lying to IA as a GS-14, but still gets promoted to ASAC, then SAC.

This is the thing everyone keeps missing.  They are promoting their buddies, even after a fireable offense.  How are these SESs getting an SCI security clearance???  How???  Simply put, IA isn't talking to backgrounds.  It is outrageous.

No one has even looked at the simple fact that once these guys get their SES they stop taking leave.  Again, fraud.  The current DAD over intel gets caught stealing files to start his new business and nothing happens.  His wife, who is a GS-14, doesn't do a day of work for 10 years and still nothing happens.

THE MISSION MEANS NOTHING!  THE MISSION IS TAKING CARE OF UPPER MANAGEMENT.

The biggest crime in ATF today is upper management.  They don't work.  They don't show up.  They travel around setting themselves up for their next jobs.  No one want to tell a SAC what to do because they all want to go back to being a SAC before they retire.  Everyone is working on their next job, not the job they are occupying.  So corrupt.  

I wish these govt employees were more concerned with combating ISIS and violent gangs instead of getting promoted.  People without complex investigative experience are being put into responsible positions that they are not qualified to do.

Look the AD of internal affairs has repeatedly perturbed himself and tampered with evidence. The prior head of IAN was fired but reinstated in less time that it took me to request an extension on my actions. These are Brandon actions. The integrity of the agencys leadership has been decimated by Brandon. I regret that for the GOOD execs out there. Brandon lacks the character to hold his own accountable. Lest we forget the SAC who compromised a wiretap.
