I heard Sweetow allegedly was "perp-walked" out of HQ last Thursday.

Maybe there will be a job waiting for him at the NFL.

I guess that the ethics pocket guide, the extra ethics courses on line, and all of the briefings by attorneys were in vain.  Employees will continue to violate policy and the law because the leadership  has failed to hold people accountable.  Do as I say not as I do.

Not only should the bosses be required to carry these ethics booklets, they should be regularly quizzed on ethics.

Vince:
For the benefits of others, yes, it was rhetorical.  I don't expect justice from this agency until most of the current SES's and their bootlickers coming up the ranks are gone.

Kharma is a bitch....I regularly write to my US Senator about the latest developments with ATF, generally around the fact that ATF is always looking to do some other agency's job -- and now, most recently, the NYPD.  I regularly get phone calls from his DC office, and I've been told on more than one occasion that the Senate is NOT happy with ATF.

I can easily wait until 2017.

ATF wasted more money on some nice Ethics "Pocket Guide Books"  Really?

The group supervisor who violated my rights under the Family Medical Leave Act and who claimed he was ignorant of the law should be held accountable.
The Acting ASAC who practically climbed over his desk in an attempt to assault me for standing up to his mocking behavior should be held accountable.
The two SAC's, the ASAC, the Group Supervisor who failed to follow ATF and DOJ policy on reasonable accommodation should be held accountable.

So when will the Acting Director do so?
Or is accountability only for the "little people" at ATF?

Thats a rhetorical question right? Brandon, Turk and Gleysteen have NEVER been held accountable, why would they hold their peers accountable. A SAC was recently fired for MAJOR OPSEC violation and was reinstated and transferred within a month. The GOOD news, is Congress is paying attention and so are the courts. Karma is a bitch.

A status update.

http://blog.jaydobynsgroup.com/?p=861

For those following my war and expecting a conclusion on the government fraud allegations to be delivered today – stand by.

A thorough examination of the allegations of fraud and misconduct leveled against DOJ’s attorneys in their handling of my lawsuit remains ongoing.

To date, the process has been both extreme and complex. My arguments with DOJ over their production of relevant documents can mildly be described as heated. To get this right and to drill down for the whole truth is neither an easy nor quick undertaking. When facing DOJ you have to fight for every millimeter of progress, facts, evidence and truth. Those types of things are not the concern of DOJ or ATF. I have learned a valuable lesson in patience through all of this – one I badly needed.

The truth will survive to the end, even when the evidence gets hidden.

Today, trial Judge Francis Allegra issued an Order granting a time extension to Special Master Judge John Faciolla allowing him room to properly complete his inquiry:

“On February 23, 2015, the Chief Judge appointed John Michael Facciola as a special master in this case (Doc. 334). Later that day, this court issued an order (Doc. 335) describing the procedures that govern the special master’s appointment, and requiring the special master to provide the assigned judge with a report on or before May 29, 2015. Today, Special Master Facciola filed a request for an extension of that deadline due to complicated privilege issues that have arisen in the case. Pursuant to this court’s February 23, 2015 order (Doc. 335, paragraph 23), the special master’s deadline to file his report is hereby extended to July 17, 2015.”

I am continuing to trust the judicial process as I have since my fight with ATF and DOJ began in 2005 – ten years and running. My fight has now spanned the tenure of two Presidents (George W. Bush and Barack Obama) and five Attorney Generals (John Ashcroft, Alberto Gonzales, Michael Mukasey, Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch). None have shown the integrity to deal with this in an honest or open manner. If it takes another ten years, ultimately, the truth will see sunlight. I hope I am around for it.

When this broke bad I asked God for help. I was expecting a “K Street” law firm to rescue me. Instead He sent me James Reed, a disability rights and construction law attorney. I could not have done any better in anyone else’s hands. God’s perfect plan is demonstrated in remarkable ways. We are the Odd Couple.

The below picture (2009) demonstrates how the truth-seeking process has aggressively aged Jimmy and I. We weren’t ‘all that’ to begin with but, those who know us or see us daily will attest to how our appearances have sharply declined. It also represents one of our many victories. ATF and DOJ sued me for my book (No Angel). They lost. I’m now uglier, wrinklier and fatter; Jim has less hair (that has not been an issue for me). We both have added physical ailments that come with long term exposure to stress, harassment and danger. I’m not looking for sympathy or concern. It is what it is. I’d do it all again. But, if anything should happen to either one of us, you will know where to start looking.

A development in current events makes this matter even more interesting.

Yesterday an indictment of former House Speaker/Congressman Dennis Hassert was announced. One of the charges filed against him stemmed from his lying to federal agents.

http://www.nbcnews.c...utation-n366396

“Hastert, 73, was charged with one count each of structuring currency transactions to evade currency transaction reports and making a false statement to the FBI.”

Even the stories headline can be compared to my situation: Indictment Taints Former Speaker Dennis Hastert’s ‘Clean as a Whistle’ Reputation

We want to believe our government, our Department of Justice, the leadership of our federal law enforcement agencies is ‘clean as a whistle’. They want you to believe it too. They are not.

When you lie to federal agents, when you cheat and create false documents and mischaracterize and cover up and deceive; the price to pay is heavy, regardless of who you are. Lady Justice is blind to titles, reputation, position or career.

Its called 18 U.S.C. § 1001 – or False Statements (but it goes further):

(a) . . . [W]hoever, in any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the Government of the United States, [ 1 ] knowingly and willfully –

(1) falsifies, conceals, or covers up by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact;

(2) makes any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation; or

(3) makes or uses any false writing or document knowing the same to contain any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry; …shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 5 years. The maximum fine under Section 1001 is at least $250,000 for individuals and $500,000 for corporations.

Ask Scooter Libby, Bernie Madoff, Jeffery Skilling, Martha Stuart or Rod Blagojevich if the statute is hallow or unenforceable.

For my adversaries who may read this, I am providing you the courtesy of posting this article. Take it to heart. It is entitled How to Avoid Going to Jail under 18 U.S.C. Section 1001 for Lying to Government Agents.

Uh oh!

The Acting Director sent out a letter today to all agents about standards and accountability.  Deeds speak louder than words.  Making things right for everyone who has a legit pending case, complaint, or whatever will make believers out of employees when offenders are held accountable or issues are fixed.

One of the biggest disappointments I have with former co-workers is that the older guys never shared the truth about their contemporaries who eventually are culpable in the ruin of ATF.

I was in DC the other day for Police Week and ran into a retired RAC.  As he put it, he worked for the "old ATF" and not the ATF that exists now.  Turns out, he used to supervise the previous supervisor of mine against whom I have several EEO complaints.  Yeah, I did learn a few years ago, before I retired [but long after my problems started with this boss], that back in the day, my supervisor earned the nickname "One Case."  Rumor had it that he actually produced a case as a street agent, but no one could figure out what was that case.

But my new buddy from the other day said to me how my supervisor, as a puke agent, bailed out on an undercover deal because he had to drive to mommy's [in another division, about 100 miles away] so that she could do his laundry and "powder his balls."

Now this is the same supervisor who knocked me on two PA's after I filed my original complaint [his excuse is that he was "ignorant of the law"].  He said that I didn't assist other agents on their cases.  He said I didn't produce any of my own cases and even went so far to call one of my cases, which I investigated, tracked down the perpetrator [who was on the run], and got a confession, as an "adopted case."

I wish I knew his background, vis-a-vis incompetence, inexperience, and general disregard for other agents' safety, when he started his shit with me.  I would have called him on his shit early, and maybe I wouldn't have been retaliated against, as bullies back down to anyone who stands up against them.  Or at least I could have used his negative history in my EEO in order to denigrate his character.

I know there are concerns about libel and slander, but the truth IS the best defense.

MOST significant is the recent decision by ACTING Director Brandon to Graduate Agents from the academy EVEN after #1 they had FAILED all firearms training to include remedial. #2 He didnt blink sending NON FRIENDS home without a job when they didnt qualify with their duty weapon. When confronted by virtually the ENTIRE academy staff, he advised hes going with his gut and then proceeded to challenge any of the instructors who couldnt live with knowingly violating this policy to put in for a transfer. More to follow on this matter. The arrogance of Tom Brandon to think that he has the authority to place agents lives in harms way to the point of directing falsification academy student records or ignoring ATF and DOJ policy. The liability he has brought upon EVERY ATF agent who is forced to use deadly force or work beside these agents in UNMEASUREABLE.

Does anyone know if B Todd Jones had a hand in the punishment of Tom Brady and the Pats?

Sounds like a good deal collecting unemployment and retirement. With some of the stories my friend who used to work in the San Francisco Field Division told me, I'm glad i work for a small local agency in East Texas. He tried to convince me to apply for ATF, but I'm glad I stayed where I did. Not worth giving up a good local carreer to go to an agency that seems to have so many vindcitive people.

USEFUL INFORMATION.

As there are many employees involved in record numbers of complaints and disputes, PAY ATTENTION.

Even if you retire as part of a negotiated settlement, you can still file for unemployment. I did and I was approved on the strength of the fact that my retirement was mandated by the Agency. ATF Challenge this decision and apprealed it. We had a telephonic hearing with the unemployment Referee. I prevailed and the State agreed that my separation wasnt completely voluntary.

Congrats to you on the unemployment issue.  You deserve it.

Not that I expect anyone in HQ to ever get into a shooting, but considering the rumors that they tend to blow off range dates and have range officers sign off for them, imagine the clusterfuck if some SES does shoot someone, and word gets out that the SES really hasn't qualified in 4 years?

USA has been set. In mid-May I will be in Washington, D.C., taking depositions of critical key witnesses. The time to expose more truths has grown close. During the trial on my case-in-chief, I won on the facts and evidence. DOJ and ATF’s legal counsel tried very hard to disprove the truth. But, truth-be-told (play on words) they won as well, having defeated my claims for millions of dollars in damages. I believed that I deserved a higher judgment, but I believed even more in the system and respected Judge Allegra’s award. I was at peace after my day in court. DOJ should have also respected the system and celebrated their financial victory. What they would have had to pay for what they did to me and my family was their equivalent of a single, lost french fry at the bottom at the bottom of a Happy Meal bag. The arrogance of Eric Holder’s DOJ and ATF could not accept that. Soon after the trial Opinion was published, the revelations of how low the governments lawyers had stooped trying for victory was exposed – which brings us to the hereand now. I intend to prove that DOJ’s attorneys were intentionally and willfully fraudulent in their conduct during the trial. DOJ will defend that conduct and work to convince us otherwise. Accountability is right around the corner. If I am successful, I will let it be known. If I fail, I will let that be known as well. When the details are ultimately made public it will turn your stomachs. They are not as good at cover-ups as they think they are. The Tulsa shooting and subsequent review of training records is a prime example of how important it is to keep your integrity because that person who may have been pencil whipped will come back to haunt you.  The Department of Justice is supposed to have the highest standard of ethics and integrity.  We are supposed to take ethics training multiple times this year.  What a joke.

http://www.ticklethe...wer-complaints/ Every Director, Deputy Director, ADFO and DAD since the Melson regime were aware and in fact had undeniable proof of perjury and false statements by Gleysteen, Downs and Bort. I was idled for 4 years in an attempt to break me. Didnt work. None has been disciplined or demoted. This is clear cut Giglio material. In fact, some were promoted. This FBI agent lays it out well.

Wait a second, shouldn't the DIO in question [and yes, we all know who he is] have disclosed the incident and judicial activity in his eQip?  Just the mere fact that this was [possibly] excluded from the periodic investigation should be enough to deny or revoke the clearance.

Just two months ago, I went through a FOUR hour interview with an OPM investigator in regard to my application for a BI job with another cabinet level agency under a contract.  The OPM investigator [actually, a contractor himself] must have spent almost two hours questioning me about a letter of reprimand placed in my file in 2009 [covered by the periodic investigation later that year, with a subsequent clearance], and a three day suspension back in 2012 based on chickenshit charges by my fat bastard RAC, fatter bastard ASAC, and the Division's WonderBoy Prince of the City, all of whom have been trying to get me, even so far as trying to frame me for being FUBAR.  Anyway.....how does ATF justify the DIO's continued clearance?

Rhetorical question -- I know the answer -- if you're On The Team, you would have to get caught on multiple cameras nailing Christ to the Cross before ATF would punish you, and even at that, if you claimed Ignorance of the Law, you'd be cleared by ATF.  And even if you're toast, you'll be able to pull the same stunt as a certain former ASAC in a Large Northeast Division who got a contractor position paying $270K a year.

And if you're not On The Team, part of the Afternoon Latte Crew, ATF will make up stuff to screw you.

I'm sorry but this report offers an avenue to explain away why folks aren't being disciplined. Let's please stop making excuses as to why these Agencies aren't appropriately handling these violators.

Besides, these Agencies have no problem with disciplining Whistleblowers or folks who file complaints.

Most of all the most important lesson of this report is, when misconduct is made public, then it's taken seriously. So I hope folks shout from the rooftops to the media, Congress, etc. any and every violation committed.

Padding statistics and reports are a hot topic as of now.

Please see below from an FBI associate of mine.  Perhaps this should be made know to all 1811's and other federal employees to contact their Congressional representatives to stop the erosion of federal pay and benefits.

Washington 411 Blog - April 2015

Cuts to Pay and Benefits
Urgent Alert – Action Needed
Next week the House and Senate will vote on a joint agreement that almost assuredly will ask for $318 billion in pay and benefit cuts from both on board federal employees and retirees. We are asking every member to call their members of Congress and tell them to vote “No” on the agreement. This vote could take place as early as Wednesday, April 15 th.  The House’s proposed budget calls for $318 billion in savings by raising the cost of health insurance for all FEHBP participants, increasing retirement contributions for current employees, and possibly changing the rate of return of the Thrift Savings Plan G Fund. The Senate budget asks the federal community for $170 billion in cuts. Find your Congressional representatives through the link below and request that they oppose any proposed Fiscal Year 2016 budget that would penalize federal employees.

The following is from a letter written to Sen. Grassley from the Terry family. So it is NOT just supposed disgruntled employees who see Brandon, Turk , Gleysteen and others as poor choices for the integrity and future of this once fine Bureau.

Dear Senator Grassley,

I write to you today to protest a great injustice.

For over four and a half years, my family has patiently waited for you and your fellow representatives in the government of these United States to produce results in the investigation pertaining to the murder of my brother, US Border Patrol Agent Brian A. Terry, and the US Government-sponsored operations that assisted in his death. Brian was killed in the darkness of the Arizona desert at the hands of Mexican drug cartel members operating miles within our own border bearing arms supplied by the dubious results of political agenda designed to vilify the second amendment.

Since his death in 2010, members of our own government, to include high-ranking members of federal law enforcement agencies have colluded in efforts to cover their criminal involvement by hiding the truth from the American people. As of the writing of this letter, no member of any government agency has been formally admonished or held criminally liable for what has been one of many recent criminal scandals against the citizenry of this great nation.

It was not until well after Brian was murdered that we learned of OPERATION: FAST AND FURIOUS through the courageous efforts of individuals who would not stand idly by and watch a skewed political agenda govern federal law enforcement activities at the cost of what has now been the lives of at least two federal agents and hundreds if not thousands of Mexican nationals.

From the very beginning, Key members of the current administration as well as leadership at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) have looked my mother and father in the eyes and lied to save their very skin.

On the last visit home that Brian made in the Fall of 2010, he stated that things were getting worse down on the border and that he believed, “Something bad is going to happen.”  Sadly, he could not have been closer to the truth.

After Brian’s death, our family met with members of the USBP Union on the conditions of anonymity. Behind closed door and drapes, we were informed that in the weeks leading up to his murder, Brian had sent three emails to the union over concerns that were not regarding “standard” USBP issues. We were informed that they were, “Throwing us a bone,” and that, “They were never here.”

Shortly thereafter, my father notified the head of the investigation, Dennis Burke about the communication between Brian and the union. It was then that federal agents made entry into Brian’s home, seizing his personal electronics and personally-owned weapons without warning or permission. The electronic devices were returned to our family, wiped clean of any data and Brian’s personal handguns have still not been returned to this day.  Brian’s personal cell phone, although, “Undiscovered” by investigators, remained active for over a year. We still have not been provided the warrant, legal writ, or any other associated documentation as to why Brian’s house was searched and his personal belongings taken and altered against our wishes.

The United States has currently tried and sentenced only one foreign criminal for actions related to Brian’s murder. The trial of this individual was closed to our family and to the public, and all records have been sealed.  Although two other foreign nationals are currently in custody awaiting trail, we can only expect the same lack of transparency in their court appearances as we have received from our government since the very beginning of this ordeal.

Mr. Senator I am deeply concerned. We the people of the United States are witnessing ever more increasing displays of despicable behavior from those that sit in positions of great power in this country. It seems that those who took an oath to protect the Constitution of the United States and it peoples have traded their responsibilities for that of their agendas.

With the departure of Director B. Todd Jones following one-to-many cases where the BATFE over-stepped their authority with the goal of criminalizing legitimate enterprise, businesses, and responsible citizens to fulfill a self-serving need, it is important that competent and truthful leadership be put in place should the agency hope to gain the trust of those they answer to.

Agent Thomas Brandon is not that person.

Agent Brandon was the individual responsible for seeing that those who had a role in the illegal activity that directly contributed to the death of my brother and so many others be held accountable. He made claims and promises that he would ensure that such individuals would never work in law enforcement again. To this day, he has not collected a single badge as all parties involved were merely moved from their duties to another station and position.

Brian Terry and Thomas Brandon are Marines. They are expected to live by a code of Honor, Courage, and Commitment. My brother gave half of his short life in service to his country as a Marine, a dedicated law enforcement officer, and as a Agent with the US Border Patrol. He died living that code. Others continue life without honor.

I would ask any who would hear these words read aloud, have the actions of this government, the BATFE, or of Agent Thomas Brandon met the standard of what we the people should demand of those who wield such power?

I thank you for your time on this matter. I can only hope that one day, my family receives the answers and justice that all of us deserve.

Jay:
Didn't ATF send NRT members to the fatal house fire in Annapolis, MD in late January [the one where the grandparents and several grandchildren died]?

I wrote to my Senator and asked where was the federal nexus?  The house didn't affect interstate commerce.  The victims [no matter how much they were loved, and now terribly missed, by surviving family] weren't government officials, witnesses to notorious crimes, or anything that rises to the level of federal attention.  I'm sure it was no more than a publicity stunt by an agency that "re-committed" to the arson program -- especially by selecting as a CFI candidate someone who NEVER went to a fire scene in his/her career before entering the program.

My Senator responded that he/she was troubled by ATF's involvement in this fire.  ATF does what it wants to do, and it needs to be reigned in.

Vince, thank you for posting parts of Kent Terry's letter.  Until we get a full disclosure of what really happened, please continue to share information.

As an American citizen, I am OUTRAGED by the incompetence and probable illegal tactics when " Brian's house was searched and his personal belongings taken and altered against our wishes".

I am stunned that this investigation has not been properly handled and completed promptly.  The lack of action and intentional suppression of evidence reminds me of a third-world military.

How can this be acceptable or tolerated in the United States of America?

A very heated debate took place on my Facebook page over the last few days regarding my comments there on Tom Brandon.  I stated that he has failed ATF and has shown that he is not the right man to be our Director, acting or otherwise.  Brandon's supporters have chimed in and attacked me and others who disagree with my characterization.

In defending Brandon he was praised as, "Tom Brandon is the right kind of man to be leading ATF at this time because he was taught about leadership in the military and he was taught to always place the welfare of his agents before his own welfare. Tom knows the meaning of leadership, and he has demonstrated and practiced leadership, as opposed to management, throughout his career. I do not believe there is anyone currently in ATF HQ, or anyone outside of HQ, that could do a better job than Tom Brandon as Director and I pray that he is given the opportunity to demonstrate his abilities."

I want that assessment to be true.  I want to be wrong on this.  I am not above admitting, publicly, I was incorrect if Brandon's proclaimed integrity shines through.

At the trial for ATF retaliations on me, ATF manager after ATF manager testified under oath that ATF has no authority or jurisdiction to respond to home arson.  Then, I read this report published in ATF's own newsletter (below) of a remarkable ATF response to a home arson.  It describes incredible work performed by ATF's top arson experts, working out of country, on a home arson.  This is exactly what ATF does better than anyone else in the world and I applaud the work and dedication.

So what gives Tom?  Are you going to do anything to those ATF employees past and present who obstructed justice and then lied under oath and tried to cover it up?  This is criminal and for the Director of ATF to order the filing of criminal charges is as easy as the stroke of a pen.  You have lots of options to display your integrity, leadership and love for ATF.  As our new Director this seems like an easy one to take action on.  I hope you will live up to the praise of your supporters and prove me wrong.

Looks like my case is not the only one where DOJ's been caught (caught being the key word, they do it all the time and get away with it). This is disgusting. They will try to get away whatever they think they can to win.

http://www.grassley....-moonlight-fire

The officials in question allegedly failed to provide relevant information in the cases, retaliated against a colleague who disclosed documents that were originally withheld and targeted prosecutions for the sole purpose of raising revenue.

According to media reports, officials from the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California made false statements, withheld 5,000 pages of information and failed to correct a calculation error that would have reduced potential liability in another case by $10 million. The lead investigator claims to have been removed from the case after disclosing documents that were withheld. Another federal prosecutor alleged that the investigation was directed squarely at raising revenue.  Plaintiffs in a state court case were ordered to pay more than $32 million in attorney fees as a result of the potentially corrupt practices, and a $55 million settlement that was reached in 2012 in a federal case may be overturned.

“Accountability for prosecutors fulfills a basic expectation from the general public that the government will be held to the same standards as everyone else.  If anything, United States investigators and prosecutors—who occupy positions of public trust and exercise significant discretion afforded them in enforcing the law—should be held to a higher standard,” the senators wrote in a letter to Acting Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates.

Like he disciplined the Fast and Furious misfits?  Like he disciplined the criminals who tried to frame me?  Like he disciplined the people responsible for the death of Brian Terry?  The dude turned his back to discipline.  Sad to say because I love the game but the NFL got it wrong.

Based on his track record at ATF, everyone in the NFL now has a free pass to engage in domestic violence, etc. (as long as he likes you). If he doesn't like you then you are going to be fined for having the wrong color shoe laces. Internal reviews, investigations, and recommendations - not needed. The all knowing and powerful OzJones will decide who is guilty or not.

He may have run circles around Congress but wait until the NFLPA challenges his antics.  Whole new ball game.  They won't take his s**t like the politicians do.  And, I doubt Goodell will stick his neck out to protect him like Holder and Co.  Cover ups don't work so well outside of government.

"Thomas Brandon was the ATF bureaucrat behind the agency's cover-up of Operation Fast and Furious. He was the man in charge of punishing those at the heart of the scandal. But when all was said and done, he didn't fire anyone."

And, in addition, albeit not to the level of significance of Fast and Furious, he gave every ATF employee an atta-boy pat on the back and free pass or easy exit who tried to frame me for an attempted murder of my family.  Coward!

In additon to the drone debackle Vince posted below read these on Brandon.

http://www.americant...f_director.html

http://www.examiner....t-investigation

Based on personal experience Brandon was a hard working and smart agent.  Based on the reviews of trusted peers he was a good first line supervisor to work for.  He had his agents backs.

Then what happened?  In my opinion power corrupts and Brandon has been corrupted by his position.

His Marine service is explary and should be honored and respected.  His work as an agent and group supervisor are viewed in flattering light by those who worked with and under him.  But, based on personal experience all that took a wash when he became Jones's Deputy.  Based on personal experience Brandon forfieted all those morals and ethics that he had developed early on.  He became a weak puppet for his superiors when he needed to take a stand for us.

When Assistant Director Ron Turk retailated against me for calling out Jones and his crew of incompetents as the criminals that some of them are/were, only after Darrell Issa sent a letter to Holder telling them what they were doing to me was illegal did Brandon back off the assault on my career and make excuses for Turk's idiotic moves.  Turk didn't have the courage to face me himself and Brandon came to the rescue to protect his incompetent partner.

Brandon was sitting on the ATF Internal Affiars reports without letting me see them or knowing what they contained when he attempted to extort me off the job with a lame lawsuit settlement that hinged on my immediate resignation from the job.  "There no place left for you at ATF, Jay.  It is my decision that you have to leave."  What later came out of those once hidden reports and what was proven at trial was that ATF undertook a riduclously overzealous attempt to destroy me, frame me for the attempted murder of my family by an arson, and then lie about and cover-up their actions.  Brandon tried to keep that his personal secret when I met with him.  He knew word for word what those reports contained, what they proved internally, and he tried to bluff me into a resignation.

Brandon gave a free pass, no discipline, to every single person who was engaged in the conduct against me - those that were criminal in attempts to frame me, those who retaliated by removing each and every article of protective countermeasure I had to protect myself, and, those who sued me for my book claiming I damaged ATF while at the very same time ATF displaying my book in ATF Headquarters using it to promote the accomplishments of the agency.  This is who will now lead ATF into the future.

Brandon made a conscience decision to defend criminals and corruption.  His decision.  No one elses.  I don't care how dedicated and loyal you may be, you can never be ordered to break the law.  And with integrity, you should never accept or go along with blatantly failing justice.

When Jones and Brandon arrived my hopes for an honest workplace and great leadership were through-the-roof-sky-high.  They were raised as Marine's for God sakes.  How would any of ever imagine how terribibly they would fail on those codes.  Jones was never invested in ATF, he was only put in place to carry out the wishes of Holder.  But, Brandon, that was the biggest disappointment.

Why?

Because a man that was trusted, admired and respected from the field gave that all away when he looked in the eyes of the right thing to do and then turned his back.  Not only turned his back on justice, truth and fairness - he went proactive to defend and support all those who's corruption he inherited.

There was never a better time or place for any one single person to fix ATF.  Brandon had the ATF world at his feet.  We all looked to him to be remarkable as his resume led everyone to believe he would.  Instead he failed so miserably that the Jones/Brandon regime will be remembered as the most retailatory and disrespecting of the field in our history.

Power corrupts.  It alters peoples DNA.  People's chemistry for greatness, their souls, are sometimes disolved in exchange for titles and influence.  Don't expect one single damn thing to change now that Brandon is in charge.  He has already established a track record for doing what he is told vs. doing what he knows is right.

I'm not the best guy on the planet but at least I can look myself in the mirror, own my failures, be accountable for my mistakes and have a clear conscience that I never tried or wanted to hurt or damage anyone.  I never pushed back against ANYONE who didn't shove me first.  Tom Brandon doesn't, won't and can't say the same.  He's learned his job at the foot of the worst, Jones.

The Special Master review process for the alleged attorney corruption in my lawsuit is underway and Brandon's fingerprints are going to be on it as well.

Expect him to salute and march to whatever orders he is given from above, regardless of how dirty those may be.  Just like Jones, he knows exaclty where his bread is buttered.  And just like Jones, he will land softly on his feet, ultimately in a new career and life and not ever bother to look back on the shame and corruption they left behind for the rest of us to deal with.

This is so unbelievable you'd think this was actually an article in The Onion.

Did anybody in ATF get a cash reward for running this program?  Probably.

What able-bodied agents were involved?  Instead of doing cases, they're sitting around in a place like Sterling, flying drones all day and getting LEAP?

Why aren't heads rolling for this?

ATF probably would've been better off hiring a bunch of 12 year olds to run the drones.

Mr. JONES AND Mr. BRANDON SERIOUSLY? This in and of itself should get you fired. A half million dollars for drones nobody can fly? Have you ever heard of a trial run? I bought a drone for $300 and got aerial video the first day. If this aint waste fraud and abuse what is? The tax payers are gonna love this.

I am happy that B. Todd is leaving but it is unfortunate that he is going to make big money with the NFL.  I too hope that ATF is abolished because my whole career has experienced poor leadership.  There is no saving ATF from self destruction.

ATF will fight tooth and nail to protect bad employees they love and ATF will fight just has hard against the good employee who does the right thing.  Wrong priorities, wrong motivations and a lack of integrity leads to being abolished.

I never knew SA Kelly nor did I ever have the privilege of working with him, but my condolences to his family.

In today's ATF, how many agents can you depend on in a situation such as Jay Dobyn's home being torched?  How many Kellys are still in the agency?  Few, I'd say.

My tribute to Pat and Gina Kelly.

http://youtu.be/JIkHCTxEwas

When the threats on me were extreme and after my house was set on fire and when only a couple of people at ATF cared if my family and I were safe, my Angels on Earth came running.

Many already retired for years like Patrick Kelly, Charlie Dawson(Fuller), Radford Fox, Gene Rightmyer, Les Jones , Billy Queen, and Tim Bunz, with others still on the job like Carlos Baixauli, Jimm Langley, Steve Gunderson, Vincent A Cefalu, Chris Bayless, Tom Mangan, Louis Quinonez, Joe Slatalla, Mike Hildick and Tristan Moreland all offered to come to Tucson with their squirrel rifles and figure out who did it and did so with the support of their families.

They didn't want or need permission to do the right thing. This collection of men were not the most loved by ATF but, they were my Angels. That is one of many reasons why my love for them is so strong and why my loyalty for them is undying. I have truly been blessed to have lived in the Company Of Heroes.

Fight on Patty. We love you back as much as you have loved us. God speed and blessings on you and Gina Kelly.

It's time to abolish the agency.  Create a regulatory agency out of the Industry Ops branch, and transfer the 1811's to DEA and HSI.  Whoever is eligible to retire must retire, and who's left gets assigned to the Mexican border.  ATF wants to do drug cases -- Title 21, remember? -- so go ahead.  Just do those cases in San Ysidro and El Centro.

I am happy that B. Todd is leaving but it is unfortunate that he is going to make big money with the NFL.  I too hope that ATF is abolished because my whole career has experienced poor leadership.  There is no saving ATF from self destruction.

Just one sleazy person hiring another it would seem.  Hope he chokes on his new career.
