There are several very disturbing aspects to this association. First is its officers and the marrogant stance that they needed to CREATE their own organization. ATFAR was around a long time. They could have stepped in and brought their expertise to an existing association. BUT NO, they have to have their own, voted by them, driven by them. That all star cast were some of the most marginal agents we had in the Bureau and some of the most narcissistic bosses ever. Next question: Why havent we seen FLEOA or FOP, NOBLE, or IOMGIA or even CLEANUPATF, get a full page spread in the ATF newsletter. Guess this is the organization ATF and the Director are endorsing.

Doc, I wonder if they would accept the ad??

After looking at the list of officers since it's inception I have serious doubts that they have your best interest at heart if you are anything less than a GS14 and more likely a GS15. Sure, they want your money but thats all they want from you I suspect.

I don't care what they are selling. I am not drinking the kool aide!

What are your takes on the ATF Association? I just saw their latest in "Inside ATF." As for me, when it first started and I saw Bob Graham was involved, I ran in the other direction. I had to deal with Graham years ago when I had a family issue and he had absolutely no interest in cutting me any slack. But then a year or so later, he certainly took care of himself by getting that sweet gig with TSA. But bosses always seem to find a way to take care of themselves while cutting street agents off at the knees. Now, when I look at the ATFA roster, all I see are bosses. Is this being set up as a "front man" for ATF to counter whatever actions agents such as us might do as an organized group? While they became the agency's attack dog? Will they portray themselves as the voice of the average employee while marginalizing those who contribute to and who silent support this website as "troublemakers?"
