Awwwww. Did someone in headquarters get their feelings hurt? No one wanted to upset you guys. We just wanted to be heard and look what you've done. You've taken your ball and went home because the truth you've been covering up and distorting for years is coming out. So sad, but like microscope said, this hasn't even begun yet. More and more of your professional dirty laundry is going to be hung out. The only thing you headquarters people care about is when something affects your personally. Bet you wish you hadn't abused your soldiers so bad, huh General?

This site has only touched on the basics. ATF is too small and everyone knows everyone else's business. If I had been convicted of the PRB of conduct unbecoming an agent within the last 5 years I'd be filing for a restoration of pay and time. A buch of the headquarters crew is getting exposed for their unbecoming conduct but where's their days on the beach? I actually believe that those posting to this site and the webmaster have displayed great restraint it what has showed up. What is seen here is only the tip of the iceberg and we all know it.

Too hot in the kitchen for Loos? Billy's antics? Maybe it was something as simple as Wilford not likeing be called by his real name? Maybe Melson finally read up on his mismanagement being called out? Maybe Holder shut the site down because he has no answer why ATF has not had a Director in 5 years. I think its just because all of you are cowards and will avoid being accountable for what you've done at all costs. Unfortunately blocking this site can't save you from yourselves and your past.

I know that I have wanted to post some of the best salacious HQ Peyton Place stuff and its has been watered down so they are very lucky!!!

Mr. Melson,
Its unfortunate that you only see the "vitriotic" nature of comments here. Review the comments, allegations and innuendos submitted by Chief counsels Office (under your authority and while representing you)made about career Special Agents and employees. Please dont talk to us about vitriotic. The part you left out, is that the postings are here are confirmed through multiple sources before we allow them to stand. Do you do the same? Has Jay Dobyns EVER been determined to be anything less than competent? Then why were John Torres, Kelvin Crenshaw, Scot Thommasen allowed to disparage his reputation to AUSAs and others? Documented? Is there one shed of information regarding SA Cefalus being a threat to other employees beyond Doctors Gleysteen and Martin saying so? If not, why were they allowed to fabricate such a perception. You start dealing with our abuses in house and fairly, and so will we. We have documents to support 90% of the allegations contained on this website. Lastly, you disappointed many when you openly stated that you were not aware. You received and we can provide proof if need be, a letter outlining the matters contained on the website but completely ignored it. Most of our grievance could have and should have been resolved by a handshake. You may thank Elenor Loos for that not being the case. Stop the attacking and we can stop the defending.

Well said Doc Holiday!!!

It makes good business sense to approach these matters with fairness. ATF is too valuable to be marred by the few upper management/legal counsel that exploit their positions.

There are several solid reasons why ATF chose to shut their agents off from CleanUpATF. The first and most important is that ATF has schemed and strategized to take away all other means for employees to address their disputes. Every person airing a complaint here has gone through their chain of command, the Ombudsman, internal grievances, the EEOC and litigation to have their complaints addressed. Even when they know they're wrong ATF fights back and fails to address the deficencies. When the lead ethics attorney both past and present openly states that no employee complaint will be resolved until it reaches litigation is why this site exists. When Loos brags that regardless of what federal law states (that EEO complaints must be handled within 180 days) her office can easily extend the process to 3 to 5 years is why people read and post here. When she states that EEO is nothing but a venue for agents to “bitch” is why. When the Ombudsman refers agent complaints to Chief Counsels office first is why. When Melson asks for input and then shows no concern for what is said, this is why CleanUpATF came to be. Loos has stated that she can “bleed” agents before ATF will ever consider a settlement for the managments wrongdoings. The Joe Gordon example is prime. ATF ignored and defended countless claims of abuse from him for years. Not until an agent slammed his gun and badge down on Gordon's desk and walked away from the job rather than work under his intimidation did they finally take notice. What all the agents careers and reputations they allowed to be ruined before that? The truth hurts and ATF management is handling CleanUpATF the only way their feeble management skills allows them to, by denying agents access to the truth. This agency clearly learned nothing from how management failed after Waco in avoiding truth. At this stage I would personally take Hartnett and Conroy over Melson and Hoover any day of the week. No worries though. The media, Congress and public are on to how ATF treats their employees and are barking at managements heels. Our leaderships track record of abuse in absolutely undeniable. Public exposure and eminent accountability are closing faster than headquarters can run away. When the president demands and uses executive order to ensure transparency and ATF still insists on doing everything they can to avoid that transparency bad things will happen. Until ATF owns up and resolves their bad business this site will not go away. ATF can hack it and worm it and do all the things they have tried to do to stop it but the truth is the truth is the truth and CleanUpATF will exist and be read by your agents until you make change. The best thing that ATF management could have done for CleanUpATF is lock it off our g-computers. What are you afraid of? Their own insecurities only made the site that much more credible. Keep lying and cheating and abusing us and we are going to keep making your mismanagement known to the public, past, present and future. There is only one way to fix this. Clean up your acts, fix the bad business you have on the books, hold your executives accountable for ALL future bad acts and treat your employees with some dignity instead of placing anyone who opposes you in the catch-all catagory of "disgruntled".

Remember you cannot rule by fear when people are no longer afraid. When Bullys can no longer Bully, they go in hiding. What ever happened to the Ron Nobles of the world. The leadership that would walk into an agency beseiged with problems, roll up his sleeves and fix it. We have gone from "What have you done for this agency today?" to our new motto "What has this agency done for me today"? Its embarrassing when Main Justice demands our long overdue strategic plan to be in compliance with Justice Dept. requirements, and the best we can come up with is WE ARE GOING TO ENFORCE THE GCA, THE NFA AND ARSON AND EXPLOSIVES LAWS. Are you kidding me? We are raising the bar right back to where we started 30 yrs ago? Less costly and wasteful wiretaps fellas. Less headline grabbing faux cases. Cut back on the adopted, number inflating cases. Really Mr. Melson and crew, did I read your testimony before appropriations correctly? Were you actually bragging about a 63% conviction rate? Really? For the better part of my 20 plus yrs, 100% was the standard to beat, with an OCCASIONAL acquittal or dismissal after indictment. What happened to us? Garbage in garbage out. 4 out of every 10 cases are lost in court? Is that what you were bragging about? Better get some real Agents in management and not these self promoting types before we are bragging about a 40% conviction rate in two years.

I equate this to the censhorship that occurs in China. The Chinese government will not allow its people to search Google. ATF will not allow its employess to go on cleanupatf.org....who is worse?

It is incumbent upon evry Agent who expects accountability to remind everybody that they can still monitor and participate on their personal computers. We are approaching one year at CUATF. Great strides have and will continue to be made. Recent testimony by Mr. Holder before the Judiciary committee. Now is the time to contact Mr. Sessions who is publicly demanding accountability at DOJ. We will be sending a certified letter to Mr. Sessions tomorrow a.m. If Mr. Melson is not interested maybe our elected officials will be. Guess ATF is bored with that whole President Obama transparency thing.

Ok so if this site has been categorized as "Government/Legal" versus pornographic, gambling, phishing, download etc just to name a few that probably should be blocked then ATF.GOV should be blocked for being "Government/Legal" also as should be DOJ.GOV, DHS.GOV, OPM.GOV, IRS.GOV. Now if they had posted Illegal Government as the reason I could see that!!!!!!! I guess all .org's are going to be blocked from now on.

Gee, I checked the american cancer society which is a .org and that site came up. So it must just be cleanupatf.org.
Keepin' on keepin' on!

As of today, if you try to view the www.CleanUpATF.org website using your G-computer, this is what you'll see:

You might notice that they do not cite the "DOJ policy" that "requires" ATF to block ATF employees from viewing a website that relates directly to ATF policy and current affairs. Naw. In classic ATF management knee-jerk fashion, rather than encouraging free discussion and debate, and instead of actually addressing the critical issues raised on this website in a straight-up and constructive manner, we'll simply block the site! Problem solved!

If this doesn't prove how utterly full of it Acting Director Ken Melson was when he implored us to "speak up", nothing does. Hey Melson (and cronies), here's a news flash for you. This will not prevent our message from getting out. It only makes you look like an even bigger bunch of thugs, cowards and incompetents (and that is really saying something).
