I just caught this on the web. and thought I should share it.

Issa, Grassley release details about Fast and Furious whistleblower retaliation, cover-up.

Snip>> House oversight committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa and Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley are asking the Department of Justice’s internal investigator to hold accountable anyone who retaliated against or threatened to retaliate against Operation Fast and Furious whistleblowers.

In a Friday letter to the DOJ’s Inspector General Michael Horowitz, Grassley and Issa said they’re now concerned retaliation is much more likely following Thursday’s votes to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in criminal and civil contempt of Congress.

The rest can be found at the link including the letter. Link to pdf doc http://www.grassley....retaliation.pdf

ETA I have posted my thoughts on this at another blog. Here they are.

I would imagine this will be ignored just as anything else having to do with the DOJ. The Obama admin is showing the House to be a toothless body. When Obama said he would circumvent Congress, he was serious. The Senate is essentially a body with bigger egos than brains.

You are prolly right, but let's hope this message gives some that are sitting on valuable information but are afraid to come forward,to make the move. Like any large corp. there are folks that have the goods but also have the fear of hard times ahead. The ones that are mostly good but have the legitamate fear of being steamrolled by company lawyers or worse. Have you seen the photos of Jay Dobyns home which was torched.

Read a little about Jay here. http://cleanupatf.or..._5186#entry5186

Or look through this post and find out how ATF leadership treats their better street agents. The ones who actually do what they are paid to do.

The guys house was burnt down and because he had a case against his uppers they turned the investigation towards the victim/whistle blower.

Like I said earlier I hope this gives some people in the agency some sence of protection if they come forward with the information they have.

Link to the site if you are interested.

I have dealt with a corrupt ATF individual before. I wish I had the balls to deal with it then. I was not employed by them. I was just a citizen running a legitimate business. Nothing to do with guns I was in the auto repair business but I was threatened to give deep discounts for repairs to his POV'S as he glared at me and shook the cigarette in my service station.
He was a real piece of work.
