At the specific request of the House Judiciary Committee along with Senator Charles Grassley, the Government Accountability Office (GAO), is conducting an official audit of ATF's overall mission readiness, and numerous allegations of widespread waste, fraud, abuse and mismanagement. This inquiry is the first genuine examination of the rampant corruption, incompetence and inexcusable abuses of taxpayer assets that have characterized ATF's executive leadership for many years.

Many of you are aware of specific acts of malfeasance, retaliation, prohibited personnel practices, misuse of official assets or position, etc., on the part of ATF management officials. You also know that if such deeds were committed by a mere Agent, it would promptly result in severe disciplinary action or termination from employment. Why should managers be above the law? Please, step up to the plate right now, and let's address this nonsense. You don't have to risk your career...the complaint process can be completely anonymous, if you wish.

This is our one and only opportunity to be heard! Please call, email, Facebook, or text everyone who has a vested interest in a functioning, law-abiding, competent ATF. Provide as much detail as possible. You do not need to give your name. Report legitimate abuses through any of the following GAO methods:
  • Click HERE to fill out the FraudNet form.
  • Send an email to: fraudnet@gao.gov
  • Call toll-free: (800) 424-5454 (an automated answering system)
  • Fax: (202) 512-3086
  • Write: GAO FraudNet, 441 G Street NW, Mail Stop 4T21, Washington, DC 20548
ATF’s leadership has been utterly contemptuous of legitimate efforts by authorized entities such as Congress and watchdog agencies to provide lawful oversight. So far, they've always gotten away with thumbing their noses at any efforts to demand basic accountability. Let’s put an end to their scornful arrogance once and for all. It is extremely important that you now report any conduct that is counterproductive to our mission of protecting the American public. Once you've filed your complaint, please follow up with a call to GAO to ensure that it has been registered.

GAO Privacy Policies: Although it is preferred that you provide a way for FraudNet analysts to contact you if they need more information about your allegations, you can provide all information anonymously and request that your identity be protected throughout the investigative process. FraudNet policy is to honor requests for confidentiality and not to release information that would identify such individuals unless required to do so by subpoena. This has never occurred in the history of the GAO FraudNet. The FraudNet form is transmitted over a secure connection, and we safeguard all information against unauthorized disclosure. The system uses SSL and GPG encryption to protect transmission of all information you submit.
